The temporary post of Overseer of Drainage Works, to which a salary of $70 a month was attached, has been vacant since the 1st March last. The Board considers that it should now be filled, and recommends that Mr. Pontuario, the present temporary Foreman of Drainage Works, whose salary is $30 a month, should be promoted to the position of Overseer at a salary of $50 a month, and that the temporary post of Foreman should be abolished.
